Los Medanos College Planetarium

We completed a far-out interior modernization of the planetarium building, including finishes, electrical and accessibility upgrades, and a curved wall to house new special effects and auxiliary projectors, display cases, and storage. The walls are lined with perforated wood acoustical panels. Custom casework houses a new GOTO Chronos celestial projector and audio and visual projection equipment. A raised flooring system solves ADA upgrades and new equipment power runways. We also added custom-designed, articulating theatre seating accommodate out-of-this-world daily college classes.
