A major renovation project at the Martin Luther King and Marcus Garvey Square resulted in updates to 17 multi-family buildings on two full city blocks. Interior upgrades and extensive site upgrades addressed the physical needs of an aging in-place population. New facades and construction of centrally located laundry buildings with mailboxes, seating and play areas are designed to provide informal gathering and recreational spaces, and enhance a sense of community.
