Park Avenue Apartments includes affordable senior apartments in one new five story building with shared outdoor space on every floor to allow daylight into the corridor. It shares a site with Laurel Grove Apartments affordable family housing, in a transit-oriented district near the planned high speed rail terminal. Community rooms for both developments face each other across an open space that allows for joint activities. The sustainable design features photovoltaic panels, solar thermal, and enhanced ventilation.
